Mask Up for the Health of It: Gainesville Health & Wellness Fair
On Saturday, April 10, 2021, the Consortium for Medical Marijuana Clinical Outcomes Research Consortium attended the 4th Annual Gainesville Health & Wellness Fair hosted at the University of Florida HealthStreet.
Open to Gainesville and Alachua County communities, the Gainesville Health & Wellness Fair brings together community organizations to promote healthy living through health education, screenings, access, and resources in the following topics:
- General health and wellness education
- Rehabilitation and therapy
- Maternal and youth outreach
- HIV, STIs, and sexual health
- LGBTQ+ community and resources
- Alcohol and drug use
- Rehabilitation and therapy
During the Health & Wellness Fair, the Consortium team shared information related to the different modes of consumption, the endocannabinoid system, and the opportunities to participate in research through the MMJ Contact Registry.
