Nova Southeastern University (NSU)and the University of South Florida (USF) have become two the newest members of the Consortium, with NSU joining in November and USF joining in February. The Consortium now consists of 11 total universities across Florida. NSU will be represented on the Consortium board by Ken Dawson-Scully, PhD, MSc, FRES and USF will be represented by Troy Quast, PhD.
Dr. Dawson-Scully is the Senior Vice President and Associate Provost of the Division of Research and Economic Development at NSU. He is also affiliated faculty in the NSU Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. His research background includes electrophysiology, calcium imaging, neuroprotection, and behavior genetics.
Dr. Quast is a professor at the USF College of Public Health. His research interests include the impact of economic conditions on health status, Medicaid policy, and the impact of natural disasters on health status and the utilization of health services.
