WEBINAR: Understanding Medical Marijuana and its Potential Benefits and Harms in Older Adults Living with Pain
Dr. Bob Cook and Dr. Yan Wang from the Consortium for Medical Marijuana Clinical Outcomes Research will give a virtual presentation on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021, titled Understanding Medical Marijuana and its Potential Benefits and Harms in Older Adults Living with Pain.
Hosted by the Aging and Integrative Pain Assessment and Management Initiative (AI-PAMI), this free online webinar is for health care providers working with adults aged 50+ with pain and wanting to learn more about medical marijuana and its effects on chronic pain and related health outcomes.
The webinar will focus on fostering understanding about various medical marijuana products in the state of Florida and its application for pain management within the older adult patient population.
During the webinar, Dr. and Dr. Wang will provide an overview of recent medical marijuana research along with findings from a pilot study focused on older adults with chronic pain newly initiating medical marijuana use.
